Little known fact: tension rods come in a wide variety of sizes! Rock Locks are engineered in two specific sizes to fit almost every drum on the market. It's not a perfect science, but we believe we've created the best solution for keeping your drums in tune.
The Rock Lock 53 model is compatible with most drums made by: DW, PDP, Pearl, Ludwig, Gretsch, Sonor, Mapex, Yamaha, SJC, Q Drum Co., C&C, OCDP, and Pork Pie.
*IF YOU OWN GRETSCH USA CUSTOM, PEARL REFERENCE, OR DW COLLECTORS DRUMS PLEASE NOTE: THESE DRUMS TYPICALLY USE EXRA LARGE TENSION RODS, MAKING IT MORE DIFFICULT TO FASTEN ROCK LOCKS ON. DON'T WORRY, ROCK LOCKS WILL STILL WORK! MAKE SURE TO LINE UP THE SQUARE TOP OF THE TENSION ROD WITH ONE OF THE SQUARES INSIDE THE 12-POINT STAR.The Rock Lock 49 model is compatible with most drums made by: Tama, ddrum, and SPL.
